What we do
We run editorially led publicity and visibility campaigns for independent fiction authors. Our main focus is launch campaigns – from pre-publication through the first ninety days – though we also take on relaunches and ongoing visibility work for authors we already know.
Launch campaigns
A launch campaign runs from around eight to twelve weeks before publication through the first ninety days on sale. The goal is to give the book the best possible chance of finding its audience and building real momentum – not a spike of attention that evaporates on publication day.
Phase 1 – Pre-launch
8–12 weeks before publication
The groundwork. We spend this period finding the sharpest way to talk about your book, building the assets you’ll need, and reaching the long-lead outlets whose deadlines fall before publication.
What this typically includes:
- Positioning and angle development
- Metadata and keyword review
- Press kit and core media materials
- Review copy distribution to reviewers, bloggers, and early-read communities
- Pitching to long-lead outlets – print magazines, broadsheet supplements, literary podcasts
- Retailer pre-order positioning where relevant
- Interview and feature pitching to monthly publications
Phase 2 – Launch window
Two weeks either side of publication
The visible part. This is where coverage lands, conversations start, and the book enters the world properly. We coordinate the moving parts so it doesn’t all arrive at once and then vanish.
What this typically includes:
- Media placements and interviews
- Podcast and broadcast outreach
- Short-lead press coverage
- Launch-day coordination with any bookseller or retailer partners
- Amplification of reviews and coverage as they land
- Reader-facing visibility pushes
Phase 3 – The first 90 days
Where most campaigns fall off a cliff
We keep going – because reviews keep coming, readers keep discovering, and sustained presence is worth more than a one-week push.
What this typically includes:
- Continued review outreach and relationship-building
- Secondary channel activation – podcasts, genre-specific coverage, features
- Momentum maintenance across retailers
- Coverage tracking and amplification
- An end-of-campaign review, with a written report
Who this is for: Authors with a finished, professionally produced book publishing in the next three to six months.
Typical duration: Four to five months total.
Relaunch and backlist campaigns
Not every book gets the launch it deserves the first time around. Sometimes the book was ahead of its audience, sometimes the campaign was mishandled, sometimes it was simply a crowded publication week. A relaunch campaign gives a previously published book a proper second chance, with the benefit of hindsight and the freedom to pick the moment.
What this covers:
- Repositioning the book around what’s changed since it first published
- Fresh press kit and updated campaign assets
- Outreach to reviewers, podcasts, and outlets that didn’t cover the original release
- Retailer and discoverability work
- Metadata and positioning review – we don’t redesign covers, but we’ll tell you honestly if the existing one is holding the book back
Typical duration: Eight to twelve weeks.
