Hi Rosie,
I’d like to submit my novel for your team review list – Lisa Doyle is Absolutely Fine, a contemporary British romantic comedy.
If it helps placing it: think Beth O’Leary, Mhairi McFarlane, Marian Keyes – that corner of the shelf.
About the book:
Lisa Doyle is 43, single, and about to be maid of honour at her best friend’s wedding. After a glass too many of cheap red, she goes on Instagram and tells everyone she’s also engaged. Then, because the wine is still talking, she gives her invented fiancé a name. Brian.
The trouble is, her boss is called Brian. He’s married. To a woman called Audrey, who already doesn’t think much of Lisa, and is about to think a great deal less.
It’s a comedy about the white lies we tell to convince ourselves we’re doing just fine, keeping up, waving not drowning.
There’s a hen night, an Irish mammy with a fascination for fascinators, a GBFF flatmate willing to wear a fake beard, and a maid-of-honour speech that starts on a folded-up piece of paper and ends somewhere else entirely.
Format on offer: ePub, or Amazon gift (though it’s not out until 18 June, so I can’t offer a code until then).
I can mail a printed copy if preferred. I’d be open to the team reviewing, but I’m sure you’d love it yourself.

Thanks for taking a look, and if you’re overloaded, don’t fret about saying “not this time”.
Best,
