Lisa Doyle is Absolutely Fine Pitch: Cal Turner Reviews

Hi Courtney,

I’m representing UK author Mo Fanning, and I wondered if his upcoming
rom-com Lisa Doyle Is Absolutely Fine (Spring Street Books, 18 June
2026) might be a fit for your blog.

It’s a rom-com with bite, set in Manchester. Fed up with being ‘the one
who never brings a plus one to anything’, Lisa invents a fiancé and
tells the world. She calls him Brian – which isn’t the best of starts,
given her boss at the Manchester theatre where she manages the box
office is also called Brian. And has a wife called Audrey. Audrey is
very scary indeed.

It’s a workplace-based friends-to-lovers rom-com, and should land well
with readers of Mhairi McFarlane and Beth O’Leary.

I’ve attached the press release for the full details. I can send you a
physical copy, ebook or PDF – just say the word and let me know which
works best. And obviously, if it’s not your thing, you have every right
to DNF.

Hope to hear from you 🙂
